Next time you're in Williamsburg between watching what Stephen Malkmus termed "The Beautiful Hipsters" or just kicking it in the sun, check out the Shoe Market on N.6 near Bedford Ave. This shoe heaven and haven opened in March 2007 has been bringing the shoe connoisseur flava ever since. Started by partners, Erika Vala, Lauren Durgin and Dana Schwister to bring the neighborhood really really good shoes at really really sweet prices, Shoe Market carries both men and women's lines like Clarks, Worishofer, Rachel Comey, Frey, Tretorn Sebago and Saucony. Not only has it become a hot spot with the locals, but also a bit of a tourist attraction in Peaking Williamsburg. More photos this way...

Zagat's really digs 'em. Dope Soundtracks of fuzz tone guitar accompany one's shopping experience and the sales staff is not only knowledgeable, but also helpful and friendly, adjective combinations that don't usually spring to mind when thinking of retail in the five boroughs. We got a few pics, but really check out the actual brick and mortar store for the fullest effect.
