So, we already established that The Guggenheim Museum is a great place for a black tie gala. Last Friday, it proved that it's an awesome venue for a concert, with "It Came From Brooklyn", an evening celebrating emerging musical and literary talent from everyone's favorite borough.
Featured acts included music by Julian Plenti, readings from Rivka Galchen and Hampton Fancher, with comedian Eugene Mirman acting as master of ceremonies. The stage was set in the main atrium of Frank Lloyd Wright's famous dome, allowing concert goers to meander up the spiraling walkway and enjoy the concert from different planes. And to accompany the aural goings-on? Guests were able to gaze at the Kandinskys, or Helena Christensen. Not bad.
