The future of Coney Island might be up in the air, but residents of this eccentric community won't give up without a fight, or at least a party. Last Thursday, Coney Island USA held its 5th annual CIUSA Spring Fundraising Gala at M:2 Ultra Lounge, and boy did the freaks come out for a good cause. More story and photos below...Sideshow stars from the Coney Island Circus and aerial artists Ekaterina and the Harvest Moon entertained guests, while NYC's Finest Burlesque Stars, including Little Brooklyn, Gal Friday, Trixie & Evil Hate Monkey, and Jo Boobs teased their audience. Admission cost $100 ($80 was tax deductible), but those who opted for VIP treatment got to meet the performers. And don't worry, all proceeds went towards CIUSA's programs and fight to save Coney Island's amusement district. More photos below
