Last Thursday, a mix of NYC's notable creatives, fashion influencers and glitterati gathered for the first annual Chandelier Creative Christmas Extravaganza at the ad agency's Soho office to benefit the New Museum’s upcoming exhibition, The Generational: Younger than Jesus. Guests also enjoyed the tunes of a live gospel choir while sipping champagne served by wait staff dressed by Commonwealth Utilities (Richard Christiansen and Anthony Keegan’s luxury menswear collection).
More story and photos below:
Attendees included Marc Jacobs, Chandelier Strategist Lorenzo Martone, supermodel Poppy Delevingne, Fashion consultant Patrick MacDonald, Gossip Girl’s Amanda Setton, Elite Models' Neil Hamil, photographers Tom Munro and Douglas Friedman, designer Keith Lissner, Douglas Marshall, Tia Walker, Adrien Field, and many more.
A room full of fuschia balloons engulfed the stunning space while guests enjoyed indulgent Chopin cocktails to the tune of pop hits sung by the choir amid a background overhead projector playing 80’s cult television drama, Dynasty. A second auxiliary party room led guests to the displayed collection of works in a silent auction next to a dashing sexy Santa taking Polaroids with delighted guests. A perfect backdrop in which to let the creative minds and taste makers of this stylish fete enjoy the ambiance and art of the evening.
Several notable artists donated their work to the silent auction to benefit the New Museum’s new exhibition, including Ewan Burns, Brian Cairns, Pomme Chang, Nina Choi, Alexis Dahan, Arthur Elgort, Ann Field, Laurie Frankel, Patrick Fraser, Dean Freeman, Douglas Friedman, Erwan Frotin, Lynn Goldsmith, Kanji Ishn, Michael Johnson, Shun Kawakami, Alexi Lubomirski, Jamie Nelson, David Prince, Stewart Shining, Charles Shotwell, Sarah Small, Joel Srans, Martyn Thompson, Giselle Potter, Alex Purdy and Paul Wearing.
