This peplum you’re wearing is really nice, it’s from this collection?
Yes - It’s really just fringe, it just gives you a little peplum.
Tell me about the collection next season, what’s going on? What’s the story behind it?
It has a little bit of history of me in it, which is very interesting. I’ve spent a lot of time in Wyoming, and the collection started out rooted in the Old West with a lot of the motifs and visual vocabulary that you see there. My dad’s a huge bird watcher and we will do a lot of bird watching out there so you’ll see some of the fabrics that we use. We specially designed these fringe cut files, they are little files that have fringe on them and its really amazing how it started in one era and completely modernized through the luxurious fabrics, like the one I’m wearing. It’s this tweed organza – we had a lot of these fabrics made and we kept saying lighten them, because we had tweed in there and we wanted to pleat it. It’s like this featherweight tweed – that’s what I mean by this modern twist in the fabrications that we kept on using.
