Collections In Review: Cushnie et Ochs , Jay Godfrey & Giulietta

It takes a certain type of woman to wear Jay's clothes - she has a bold personality, is fashion savvy and relentless in her pursuit of everything she wants. Next season sees an all white collection, and an all non-white cast - every model was of a different race, ethnicity and skin color. It's refreshing to see that there's a bright light at the end of the tunnel, the light being shone by those who are wiling to go against the grain. Jay Godfrey "You see only white in the collection (laughs). We were inspired by the works of David Collins, a British architect and designer who passed away last year. He's probably most known for his selection for the perfect blue, but for us, we focused on his use of white and his environments which used different shades of white. We also thought we could do something different by selecting women only of color - every model in this collection is from a different part of the world. I try not to get involved in race relations, but I think I've selected some incredibly beautiful girls today." [Photo via]
