2. Iconic fashion designer, Carolina Herrera describes what it was like to dress Jackie O. In the latest edition of Harper's Bazaar, she also shares details about her friendship with Andy Warhol, her family and her 30+ years working in the fashion industry.
"When I started, she came to me, and I dressed her a lot for those last years. It was fun to have her there and a great inspiration. She was so natural and knew exactly what she wanted and what looked good on her....Jackie had a great sense of history and responsibility for what and who she was. She said, 'I am nothing. He was the president. I was only the first lady, so I don't have anything to say.'"[HuffPost]
3. Pippa Middleton hasn't read her "You're royalty now" memo yet and we kind of like it. She's been spotted out and about in commoner-wears. 7. Models, modeling agency and un-retouched photos- which word doesn't fit here? For the launch of Viva Model Agency, based in London, some of its key models Natalia Vodianova, Raquel Zimmermann and '90s supermodel Kirsty Hume were photographed un-retouched. No make-up, hair or styling. They should do this more.
Viva director Natalie Hand shares how photographer Scott Trindle "shot them with no additional hair, make-up or styling. They were shot exactly as they were in person, exactly how they were when they walked through his door. And they looked really beautiful. The blemishes added to their charm." [HuffPost]
8. Re-inventors of the shirt-dress, NAHM's Alex Hilfiger & Nary Manivong open up their showroom to Stylelist's Rachel Esterline. [Stylelist]
9. "Never have I ever gotten a python pedicure" So would you get the slithery pedi for $300? Originating from an idea sprung from her son's capture & carry of backyard snakeskin, pedicurist Terri Silacci wondered what to do with the sheath of python. She applies a thick layer of instant-drying gel base color, then meticulously hand cuts each piece to fit the shape and size of each toe nail then seals it with a chip-resistant clear sealant.
