8. A drug gang has been caught smuggling cocaine in their own version of Manolo Blahnik shoes. The term 'shoe addict' takes on a whole new light as traffickers molded cocaine into the shape of the designer shoes in order to ship them into Europe. A spokesman stated:
"This investigation revealed that those detained had been bringing in cocaine shaped as women's shoes for two years."
The smuggler's version of the shoes saw each pair being worth approximately 50,000 euros. [
