Last Thursday marked the private launch of BLBL Viticcio, the first varietal of Blake Leonard and Beatrice Landini. Blake is the daughter of Stew Leonard Jr., president and chief executive officer of the Stew Leonards grocery chain. Blake has teamed up with Beatrice Landini, whose family owns the Viticcio Estate in the Chianti region of Italy.-

Nine years in the making, these girls have officially launched their Super Tuscan varietal, BLBL. (Appropriately named after their corresponding initials). BLBL is a blend of 40% sangiovese, 20% cabernet sauvignon, 20% merlot and 20% syrah grapes. The wine is easy to drink, has sleek and modern packaging, and is completely affordable. Honestly, what more could you ask for?

The wine sells for $13.99 for a 750 ml bottle and is currently sold exclusively at Stew's eight Connecticut and New York stores.
