The 2011 CFDA Awards Bring Out The Fashion Elite

The Council of Fashion Designers of America held their annual glitzy CFDA Awards. Sponsored by Swarovski, it celebrates existing & emerging talent within the fashion industry. The memorable affair, held at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center, was star-studded and filled with fashion's elite dressed in their best.

Some of the night's biggest winners were Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez of Proenza Schouler for Womenswear Designer of the Year, while Menswear Designer of the Year went to Michael Bastian. Accessories Designer of the Year went to Alexander Wang. Phoebe Philo of Celine won the International Award. Swarovski Award For Emerging Talent in Womenswear went to Prabal Gurung, for Menswear it was awarded to Robert Geller. The legendary Marc Jacobs took home the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award. Mugler-clad Lady Gaga was awarded a well-deserved and praised Fashion Icon Award.

Mother of the Little Monsters, Lady Gaga, graciously confessed that she accidentally called Anna Wintour the b-word via text. Mistaking Anna Wintour in her cell phone for another Anna, after receiving news of her win, she replied with a "Yes, bitch, we did it!".

Some of the famous faces in attendance were Diane von Furstenberg, Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, Donna Karan, Liv Tyler, Chloe Sevigny, Michael Kors, Ashley Greene, Miranda Kerr, Erin Fetherston, Mary Kate & Ashley Olsen, Daphne Guiness, Kerry Washington, Kirsten Dunst, Kanye West, Karolina Kurkova, Joy Bryant, Leelee Sobieski, Lucy Liu, Whitney Port, Naomi Watts, Sofia Coppola, Kelly Killoren Bensimon, Jessica Alba, Chanel Iman, Doutzen Kroes, Sessilee Lopez, Zac Posen and Gerard Butler.

Anderson Cooper handled hosting duties and Lady Gaga performed with Patti LaBelle at the official after party on top of the Standard.
