Suzy Welch On Prepping To Co-Chair The Humane Society’s Annual Gala

It's hard to believe that between her career as an author (of three New York Times and WSJ best-sellers, no less), a professor at NYU’s Stern School of Business, a senior advisor at The Brunswick Group, her role as a board director, and appearing for many a segment as a TV commentator that Suzy Welch has any time at all to hit the scene.

But alas, as a life-long lover of animals, this business world staple can always find time to support the Humane Society.

Curious to see how she prepared to Co-Chair the organization's annual gala?

Unlike Beyonce, I did not wake up like this, and must receive a lot of help, thanks to miracle workers like guru @lindahaymakeup.

Putting the look together with Miu Miu shoes and a purse that has such happy memories - I bought it from a street vendor on a wonderful family trip to India.

Earrings are all about your intended vibe for the night. You can quote me on that.

Not gonna lie. It’s so fun to co-chair a gala, but trust me, it’s work too, as in last-minute speech prep.

Just because you’re in Oscar de la Renta doesn’t mean you can’t feed the dogs. Btw, Oscar de la Renta loved dogs and would approve of this photo.

Hitting the red carpet with my crew, Humane Society CEO Kitty Block and my co-chairs Nathan Turner, and Tessa Tooley.

Amy Sedaris is freaking hilarious and loves the Humane Society. I stan her.

On stage interviewing two of my heroes, the world-changers Amanda Arrington of the Humane Society, and Dr. Joey Vasquez of North Figuero Animal Hospital, who have dedicated their lives to helping animals (and the people who love them) in under-served communities. More stanning from me.

Frankly, the entire night was stolen by Kuma Theroux, the pitbull rescue who owns actor Justin Theroux, our host along with Amy Sedaris. This is a good thing. When I rule the world, all galas will be run by dogs.
