[Lady Gaga onstage at last night's Robin Hood Fundraiser]
Last night, NYC's most lucrative fundraiser, The Robin Hood Foundation, held it's annual fundraiser. Robin Hood targets poverty in NYC and last night's focus stemmed largely on veterans and their families living here. From a performance by Lady Gaga to a live stream video from Brian Williams, the Gala left nothing out...except the ladies. The theme was "Superheroes" but some leading women guests were left wondering why there was such a lack of Superhero women, not to mention women board leaders.
Email from a member of my inbox group composed of dozens of high-level women that are set on "changing the ratio" in male dominated fields including tech, finance, business etc.
"At the Robin Hood Event. The theme is Super Heroes. There are no female action figures on the big screen....and only 4 of 34 Board Members are women.....wow." -Sent via BlackBerry by AT&T
