Spirit Of Buffalo: Inside Dr. Martens' Revival Of The '80s Movement

From punk to grunge, Dr. Martens has always been synonymous with the air of youthful rebellion. For its Fall 2015 campaign, the brand celebrates a more underrated movement spurred by '80s youth culture: Buffalo. The iconic art and fashion moment, led by stylist Ray Petri and captured by the likes of a young Naomi Campbell and singer Neneh Cherry, was a precursor of the androgynous street style we love today - think men in skirts and women in combat boots. This week we joined Dr. Martens in toasting the revival with a party and special screening at the Supermarket in Soho, featuring the ever-cool Wynter Gordon behind the turntables and a look at the brand's new book, A History of Rebellious Self Expression.
