Following the world premiere of Cirque du Soleil's Zarkana at Radio City Music Hall, the La Soiree ONE DROP Benefit was held at Roseland Ballroom, serving as both after-party and fundraising event. Guy Laliberte, Chair of ONE DROP Foundation and founder of Cirque du Soleil, attended, as did NY Yankees catcher and ONE DROP spokesperson Russell Martin. Guests enjoyed food and wine, and, according to Bloomberg News, $400,000 worth of proceeds went to the foundation, which works towards global access to safe water.
Laliberte has tacked other such benefit parties onto later Cirque du Soleil dates in an effort to use his notoriety and success for a great cause.
