The Art of La Soirée - it's something few have mastered, but when Cointreau decided to give that title to their summer kick-off event, they knew they could count on Dannijo founders Danielle Snyder and Jodie Snyder Morel. The jewelry designers have been a staple of the NYC (and at this point, global) fashion scene, and used that experience to create a magnificent event centered around the orange liqueur.
As soon as guests entered Cedar Lake, they were transported to an enchanted garden, aptly titled Le Jardin De Bijoux, with a massive orange tree branching out from the center. Of course, this is a grown-up fantasy, so the tree sprouted from a cocktail bar with mixologists showcasing delectable cocktails with Cointreau. Adventurous guests, however, took advantage of the cocktail-creation station, where they were provided the spirits, garnishes, and muddlers to master the art of cocktails themselves. Harpists gracefully strummed when Leslie Kirsch wasn't DJing, creating an elegant atmosphere for the diners who took turns indulging in specially prepared dishes (and more cocktails) at the group table. It was a stylish and fun evening that encapsulated the ideal soirée, but like most fine arts, it's best left to the masters.
