Rooney Catches The Acting Bug
Although Rooney's older sister is actress Kate Mara, she wasn't initially seeking the glitz of a career on the silver screen.
Although Rooney starred as Juliet in a high school rendition of Romeo and Juliet and acted in a few student films, the startlet originally had her heart set on a career in Psychology, majoring in the subject at New York University.
After graduating from NYU in 2010, Rooney then caught the acting bug, landing her role in
The Social Network.
2011 was a big year for the Mara sisters, as they were both featured in Best Picture Oscar nominated films. Rooney in
