In case you needed yet another reason to absolutely adore Madonna, she is using her 60th birthday to give back.
Having adopted four children from Malawi, a country located in the east of Africa next to Zambia, she feels a special connection to this part of the world. So, to celebrate her big 6-0, which falls on August 16th, the Queen of Pop has launched an online fundraiser with Facebook that will run through the end of August to benefit Malawian children.
All of the proceeds will be donated to Raising Malawi's work at Home of Hope Orphanage. The goal is to reach $60,000, and at the time of writing, the fundraiser has already surpassed $26k.
You can say what you will about the controversial icon, but this is a seriously selfless move.
