Anne Hathway has one of those classic, girl-next-door looks, so it's always refreshing to see someone like that take a beauty risk, which she did when she showed off her new, short hair in 2012. The drastic cut was originally done for her role as Fantine in "Les Miserables," but it has since become Hathaway's chic, signature look. But the actress didn't always feel so happy about the pixie style. She was even reduced to tears when she first looked in the mirror,
saying,
“I called my husband and was on the phone with him. I looked in the mirror and I said ‘I look like my gay brother. I’m just Man Hathaway'...I realised I couldn’t take it back. It had the effect of changing my identity. I was reduced to a mental patient level of crying... I was inconsolable.”
