Like most of his wealthy, tech-world peers, Elon is a Burning Man enthusiast, and returns to Black Rock City year after year to rough it (well, billionaire-style) in the sand for days. He's been known to appoint high-powered positions to his fellow hippie burners from the event, so anyone hoping to land a seat on the Tesla board should pack their bags and get their dust goggles ready.
