Bill Murray: Karaoke Party Animal

Bill Murray went on a partying spree in Brooklyn in 2008, randomly showing up at loft parties in Bushwick and reciting poetry on the BK Bridge, thus cementing his reputation for not only being a great actor but the kind of guy everyone wants to hang out with. And you may get your chance! Missing from the NYC party circuit for while, it looks like he's making a comeback.

According to The Chive, Bill hung out at Karaoke One 7 in the Flatiron District for several hours, just chilling with a group of ladies, drinking, and singing with other bar goers.

"About 15 minutes later we get a knock on the door... IT'S BILL F@#KING MURRAY!" the person lucky enough to be in the right spot and the right time wrote about their experience. "We were all shocked of course but at that point we were already pretty trashed so the party just kept going. He was super nice and they all fit right in."

I love this quote because 1) Bill Murray anything is great. 2) Had they not all been trashed would the party have stopped? Would they have all stood in frozen awe over Bill Murray and then left? Like, this is awesome, see ya?  3) He fit right in. Just seems obvious. Bill Murray is not knocking on your door and then telling you to get the fuck out so that he can can sing "Peace, Love, and Understanding," by himself.

And Bill did sing with them, choosing a different Elvis than the one he croons to in Lost in Translation.  ""The high point was when Bill and I sang a duet of an Elvis song called, "Marie's the Name."
