NYC Spot: The Bitter End, 147 Bleecker St
One of the oldest nightclubs in NYC is also the spot where The Daily Show host Jon Stewart made his stand-up debut. The Bitter End in the West Village served as the spot where the political satirist would practice his routines. To this day, the club – now a historical landmark – still hosts a variety of big-name musicians and comedians in its Bleecker Street location, in addition to open jam sessions for rising newcomers.
