Bad hair days - they used to be inevitable. Then the beauty gods created dry shampoo.
Though I'm personally a wash-my-hair-everyday kinda gal (which is Bad™), I heard about the buzz surrounding Verb's new dry shampoo and knew I had to try it. Especially since it had a cult following of over 5,000 before it even launched.
Now, the reason I tend to wash my hair is so much is the fact that I'm kind of a workout fanatic - despite what my abs will have you think. Post trendy class, my sweaty hair is oily and flat and since I skeeve gym showers, I'm forced to make plans at least 3 hours after my sesh to ensure enough time to go home and freshen up. So as soon as I received a box of goodies containing Verb's new launch, I slipped a can into my gym bag and agreed to happy hour right after spinning. I had a lot of faith!
What makes this stuff especially cool (besides being paraben free, gluten free, cruelty free, and sulfate free), is that it comes in two formulas - one for light hair and one for dark - so you know what you're getting has been specifically designed for your unique locks. The spray gently cleanses, can be used as a style extender, and even claims to add some volume. It also comes in a minimalist, Insta-worthy can, which is always a plus.
Cut to the locker room after Monster Cycle (shout out!). I shake out my ponytail and ruffle up my waves a bit, then it's the moment of truth. I hold the dark hair formula the recommended 8 to 10 inches away from my head and let loose. Then I run my fingers through my strands and kind of work my scalp. I immediately notice how lightweight it is and though the nozzle appears to have some brownish residue, I can't feel any on my head. My hair's greasy shine has become matte - but not dull - and a fluff up indeed reveals some refreshed volume. Hallelujah - I can go to happy hour!
It gets a sweaty thumbs-up from moi and will certainly remain a gym bag staple. The best part? It's only $16 a bottle. Brunettes and blondies can buy it HERE and HERE! FYI, the light hair formula is purple, and enhances blonde tones between dye jobs!
