We love the salon's unique design! What kind of environment were you aiming to create for clients? What are each of your favorite features?
Thank you. Our goal and mission is for the salon to feel like a modern oasis for those who live life beautifully.
Trygstad: One of my favorite detailing is the use of white oak custom woodwork throughout the salon. These elements were inspired by the beautiful resorts that I had seen throughout my travels Aman resorts, California beach style. The salon is part Scandinavian, airy simplicity and part '60s glam.
DeBolt: I love how warm the salon feels. Ryan and I found two 12-ft, 100 year old craftsman woodworking tables at an antique store in Hudson, NY, a special place to us where we escape when we can. We refinished them in our garage upstate. The guys who moved them back to the city said they were the heaviest thing they had ever moved! I love the idea of using repurposed materials like this table and the idea of its use now to create a different kind of art.
