Salon Ciel
This self-described "gallery alternative" exhibits emerging artists in settings that differ from that of the traditional art-show exhibition. Monthly showings have included cocktail parties, in which the work of the artists is displayed to a crowd of well-cultured art lovers at local bars and lounges. In addition to these party openings, Salon Ciel has a film festival called Take Two, which showcases the work of emerging filmmakers at Theater 80 on St. Marks.
