Artist-about-town Kennedy Yanko can always be counted on to make a statement, whether it's through her fascinating sculptures or glamorous high-octane wardrobe. The Bushwick-based painter and sculptor repurposes industrial materials in unexpected ways to create surreal, larger-than-life installations. Her work has been shown at the Rubell Museum, the Parrish Art Museum, and the Brooklyn Museum, as well as international art fairs and exhibitions. When she's not busy in her studio, Kennedy steps out in style at galas and fundraisers around town.
