Lecture: The International Style at the World's Fair
Presented alongside the exhibition “Designing Tomorrow: America's World's Fairs of the 1930s,” this presentation by architectural historian John Kriskiewicz will examine how the 1939-40 World’s Fair in New York influenced post-war architecture, art, and design. The lecture will specifically highlight the impact of “International Style” designers Alvar Aalto, Oscar Niemeyer, Wallace K. Harrison, and more. Reservations requested.
