Thomas Hirschhorn, “Concordia, Concordia”
Thomas Hirschhorn is tackling some "Big" issues in his newest work, "Concordia, Concordia," inspired by the sinking of the Costa Concordia earlier this year. In his Artist's
Statement, Hirschhorn states: "I want to do a Big work to show that the saying "Too Big to Fail" no longer makes any sense. On the contrary, when something is Too Big, it must Fail – this is what I want to give Form to."
A concurrent exhibition, "Timeline: Work in Public Space" will be held at the Dia Art Foundation, where Hirschhorn and art historian will give a
talk this Saturday, September 15.
Opening Reception: Thursday, September 13, 6-8pm
