Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs, The Museum Of Modern Art

Henrie Matisse: The Cuts-Outs @ The MoMAMatisse was one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, and his work is now showing at the Museum of Modern Art. Matisse worked with a variety of media, from paint to sculpture, but nonetheless, Matisse's reputation comes from his revolutionary work in the bold use of color and drawing techniques. Henri Matisse: The Cut-Outs at the MoMA shows the most extensive collection of the scissor-and-paper cutouts by the artist. Matisse cut painted papers and reconstructed them on canvas, a new technique from the last stage of his career. The current exhibition continues until February 10th. Go HERE for more information!
