Our post on socialite Paul Johnson-Calderon stealing a purse from the Eldridge last Friday has almost 100 comments on it-and this is after the ones we have moderated for being too defamatory. It has also consistently been a top hit post each day. Today, the post showed up in the NY Post's Page Six. Even Kristian Laliberte has written on the issue for ASW. Lesson learned: stealing is bad. Add in the fact that we are in the biggest recession of our lives and that it's a NYC SOCIALITE, and we've got a definite BUZZ issue on our hands. We predict that the days of free giveaways to celebrities and the micro-famous is nearing its end.
