Jisan Valley Rock Festival: Incheon, South Korea

Jisan Valley Rock Festival
Where: Jisan Valley Ski Resort, Incheon, South Korea The story behind the festival: This relatively young music festival started in 2009, and has slowly been gaining momentum. Organized by a subsidiary of Smash Corporation—the people behind Fuji Rock—the Jisan Valley Rock Festival will no doubt ripen with age. While the festival is still heavy on the local music scene, its international lineup this year is impressive and diverse, with the likes of Radiohead, Owl City and Elvis Costello taking the stage. The Jisan Valley Rock Festival is a great alternative to Fuji Rock, as it’s essentially the same performers minus the tenuous treks and crowds. Further, this is a fantastic way to check out the K-Pop music scene which has earned a huge cult following around the world over the past few years. Past Acts: Arctic Monkeys, Suede, Oasis Line up highlights 2012: Radiohead, Owl City, The Stone Roses, Elvis Costello Dates: July 29 to 31, 2012 [Photo via]
