Pavement vs. Mud (1995)
For Pavement, things didn't go down all too well at Lollapalooza's West Virginia festival of '95. Due to extreme heat, the crowd was hosed down, turning the entire area in to a mud pit. And so the mud began to fly, and not in the fun Greenday at Woodstock kind of way. Once Malkmus was hit square in the chest, the band called it quits, but didn't leave the stage without flipping the finger and mooning the crowd first - now that's true rock star fashion!
