Slapping Scandal
In addition to the backlash he's been getting from voters, Fabián is also making headlines this week because of a shocking allegation that he slapped one of his aides at Governor DeSantis's inauguration reception back in January.
The 25-year-old aide, Nicolas Frevola, claims that his boss "had been drinking and was mistaken about something that led him to slap me in the face in front of other people in the room."
Fabián then reportedly instructed the aide to go stand in a corner as punishment. "I was so embarrassed that I did as he asked," Nicolas said, adding that he was afraid to come forward about the assault because he had signed an NDA.
An investigation is currently underway. As for the lawmaker's response to the matter? "I don't remember anything like that."
Hmm... solid defense!
