6. Bragging Rights
Part of the fun of unseasonably awesome weather in the dead of winter is talking about it! Make sure you mention how nice and warm it is here to all your friends and family who live yonder. Tweet it, Facebook it, Instagram it--whatever your preferred social media is, use it. My sister is away at school in Ann Arbor, Michigan where she'll experience snow flurries during the day, followed by temperatures in the low 20s but really only feel like single-digit degrees. Wrong? Sure. It's been in that neighborhood of unpleasantness over there for, like, four months while L.A.'s coldest days have been in the 50s and the idea of being somewhere that has a lone "6" in its forecast is horrifying, but I'm certainly not losing any sleep over it. So yeah, I'm definitely going to FaceTime her later from my patio, and please believe I'll be wearing a tank top.
