Saturday night, L.A. natives and founders of The Tappan Collective Chelsea Neman and Jordan Klein were joined by hundreds of guests to celebrate the official launch of their new online platform for fresh young artists with a pop-up gallery group show and party at The Jeffries Building in Downtown L.A.
Recognizing a void in the art market for young, emerging artists' work to reach aspiring art collectors, University of Michigan grads Neman and Klein were inspired to create The Tappan Collective. Their mission was simple: to facilitate connections between new and emerging artists with rookie collectors who could discover their works and begin their collections for affordable prices. Since then, they've worked to curate a collection of works by new young talents in various art scenes around the world to offer clients a hand-picked selection from the next generation of artists.
Their efforts have officially come to fruition, as Saturday night marked the official launch party for The Tappan Collective, held downtown at The Jeffries Building, where works from several artists including Clara Balzary, Cesar Vega, Lola Thompson, Gia Coppola and others featured on the site were on display for viewing. Over 250 came out for the launch celebration, where they were able to check out the works on display over Veev cocktails and drinks by Pressed Juicery, plus DJ tunes provided by Harley Viera-Newton and Grant Shapiro.
