Hope you guys don't need to be anywhere important today because an unstoppable force sparing no one south of the 101 is descending on L.A. this afternoon that promises you'll be late and sit in the kind of traffic that makes you seriously consider abandoning your vehicle to take off on foot. That's right, President Obama is coming to town, and doesn't care that we're not over what happened the last time he paid L.A. a visit and turned it into a comprehensive clusterfuck of irate drivers. Remember that?
He touches down around 3pm and will hit up the Sony Pictures lot in Culver City, the Federal Building on Wilshire, and have dinner at Tavern in Brentwood. Although today he'll be arriving via helicopter instead of on the ground for his fundraising tour, Obama traffic will admittedly be hideous. But don't worry, L.A. City Councilman Bill Rosendahl has some great advice for Westside residents: plan activities at home this afternoon, otherwise you're "putting yourself in potential gridlock." You got that? Stay home or sit in your car questioning the existence of god. Either way you'll have plenty of time to do some self-reflection and try to reconcile the fact that the entire city must be held hostage by Obama traffic any time he comes to town. Happy bending over!
