Thursday night, hip hop star Drake performed in a sold out show at L.A.'s Club Nokia. During his 75-minute set, Drake told the crowd "this is the most important show I'm gonna do on this tour" and also announced that Alicia Keys would be featured on his debut album's first track, "Fireworks."
Without even releasing a full-length album yet, the Canadian artist has an impressive track record, having already collaborated with rap giants like Eminem, Jay-Z and Lil Wayne. He is currently signed to Weezy's Young Money label. His highly aniticipated album is set to be released on June 15.
Drake owned the stage of Club Nokia during his performance and kept fans on their toes with surprise guests such as Birdman, Soulja Boy (who was booed when brought out) and Nicki Minaj. He closed out the show with renditions of "Over" and "Best I Ever Had" as well as a "fuck you" to the NYPD on behalf of Lil Wayne, who's currently in the slammer serving his weapons possession sentence. Aw... It's okay Drake, Weezy will be back slurping on his purple drank from his pimp goblet before you know it!
