Hearing Loss Advocacy
In addition to fashion, Gigi's other big passion is hearing loss advocacy. She was diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss at birth and was fitted for her first hearing aid as an infant. Her experiences battling the stigma of wearing hearing devices and growing up with the extra challenges of hearing loss have inspired her to work with hard-of-hearing children and advocate for the Let California Kids Hear Act (Assembly Bill 598) alongside her parents, which would require insurance companies to cover hearing aids for children.
