Nothing screams indie romantic comedy like browsing a bookstore in Los Feliz, talking about which Bukowski novel you have yet to read or uncovering obscure gems and then undermining their integrity by reading their titles in strange voices. Plus, there's a tree smack dab in the middle of the place to condone the use of paper.
