This week Cart For a Cause is back on the streets with food from Bar Pinxto! Chef Joe Miller will be cooking up some of his Mexican-inspired favorites for only $10 a meal, plus drink. And don't forget that the gourmet food truck serves a larger purpose than delivering delicious lunches for us to enjoy each Tuesday; every meal purchased helps feed a home-bound senior citizen for the entire day as part of St. Vincent's Meals on Wheels program!
The chef has chosen three dishes to prepare and they are:
-Bocadillo de Salchichon: Spanish salami with Tronchon cheese, Green and red bell peppers, Garlic Aioli on a baguette.
-Croquetas de Pollo y Jamon: Crispy bachamel with caramelized onions, with chicken and jamon serrano.
-Ensalada Bar Pinxto: Arugula and frisee with candied walnuts, Manchego cheese, Peaches and quince vinaigrette.
So in case you forgot to bring a lunch to work today, or if you're in the mood for delicious, inexpensive gourmet food (for a good cause), the truck will be in Culver City today on Culver Blvd. between Duquesne and Madison from 12:00pm-2:00pm.
