As of approximately 12pm, exclusive private westside school, Brentwood School's east campus grades 7-12 on Sunset in Brentwood is currently on lockdown as the result of a report made that a gun is somewhere in the middle school, presumably brought by a student. Classrooms were locked and no one is being allowed onto or off of the campus at this time as authorities search for the reported weapon.
All students are now being ushered by teachers into the school's gym. Story developing...
UPDATE 2:20pm: After an extensive search by authorities, a weapon was never located and the premises were determined secure and safe. The campus is now open and students have been dismissed for the weekend. [Photo of Brentwood's east campus, grades 7-12 via]
