Last night, Mark Hunter a.k.a. the Cobra Snake, with help of best friend Jeremy Scott, had the opening party of his vintage-clothing store, the Cobra Shop. Shepard Fairey and Ana Calderon played DJ until Beardo and his glorious mullet came out to give the crowd of club kids, hipsters, music fiends and vintage fashion enthusiasts an intimate performance of his songs about girls, pills and John Lennon.

The vintage shop is the photographer's very first retail space, and it goes without saying that the opening party, functioned as a complete 80's time warp from the amusing business in the front, party in the back haircut that Beardo was sporting to the attendees' Flintsones-inspired clothing. The event also doubled as an exclusive opportunity to get artist Todd Selby to sign his book, The Selby Is In Your Place Book.
The Pawn Shop opening experience was meant to capture Los Angeles in a retail nut-shell through a clubhouse/videogame/arcade/yardsale feel that encompassed everything from the glamour of Beverly Hills to the grunge of Hollywood Boulevard. Cobra Snake even enlisted the help of the Museum of Natural History by borrowing and dressing several taxidermy animals with sunglasses.
