Food and wine-loving Angelenos got a fully loaded treat on Sunday in the Malibu Hills courtesy of Los Angeles Magazine at the 5th annual "The Food Event: From the Vine 2010".
The Sunday afternoon event was held at Saddlerock Ranch where it served as the 50th anniversary for L.A. mag, as well as celebration of its November "Mexican Food Lovers Guide" issue. Guests enjoyed unlimited food from L.A. restaurants like Kate Mantilini, Michael's, The Foundry on Melrose, Magnolia Bakery, and Cafe Habana, plus an extensive list of wines from select wineries represented. And while enjoying the pairings of wine with cuisine, guests could get valuable culinary lessons during demos and panels from pros like Susan Feniger and Philippe Chow.
We've covered many a food extravaganza but this was indeed 'THE Food Event', covering everything from what to eat with which wines to secrets from the experts to practice at home in your own kitchen.
