Surfer Dudes & Dudettes Step Out For The Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards

Cowabunga, dudes! Friday night, the Oscars of surfing drew a crowd of over 2,200 surf industry VIPS and fans to Anaheim's Grove Theater for the 10th annual Billabong XXL Global Big Wave Awards fueled by Monster Energy and it was all kinds of totally radical awesome. Seriously though, we've never seen so many hot, beachy-haired, sun-kissed people all in the same place at once like that. Not even in Malibu.

The awards went to surfers worldwide for their performance in categories like the Monster Tube Award, Verizon Wipeout Award, and Ride of the Year. In less technical terms, the night was about honoring those who took on the gnarliest waves of the year. Surf VIPS and other notables in attendance included Mark Healy, Danilo Couto, Shane Dorian, Brandon Boyd, Tito Ortiz, Jenna Jameson, Tony Hawk, Brian Van Arsdale and AJ Collins. Any reason to bring a bunch of hot surfer dudes and dudettes together for a night is good enough for us to be there and we're even wishing there could be more of these sorts of occasions. Hey Billabong, hows about we make this a semi-annual thing? Just throwing that out there...
