A crowd of a L.A. tastemakers, artists and art lovers gathered at West Hollywood's Prism art gallery last night for the debut of Come As You Are. The merciless traffic courtesy of the Sunset Strip Beautification Project wasn't enough to keep this group from getting a first glimpse of the exhibition, presented in conjunction with RVCA and New Image Art. The collection brings together the work of a group of celebrated contemporary artists including Kelsey Brookes, Dennis Hopper, Barry McGee, Clare Rojas, and Ed Templeton, each contributing one iconic piece.
Among guests in attendance were Jeremy Scott (where were Jonny and Peaches??), artist Rosson Crow and Jen Rosero, who was way out of character. Firstly, she was away from her podium and out in daylight (technically, since it doesn't get dark until after 8pm right now) and SMILING. Weird...
Come As You Are is definitely worth a visit despite the traffic getting there and will be on display until September 4th.
