The Big Apple lot in Paramount Studios served as the perfect backdrop for Saturday's Drink:Eat:Play Block Party, taking L.A. to the streets of New York City in Hollywood for a day of beer, live music, and food trucks galore.
This was not your average neighborhood gathering of less than tasty food and forced small talk with creeps down the street. No, this was was one block party done right, complete with unlimited beer and entertainment available all afternoon. Brews were definitely the main attraction of the day with over 100 selections for everyone to try. To make the sampling user- and eco-friendly, guests were given mini plastic beer mugs, which they made sure to have in hand at all times.
The variety of food trucks kept partiers from succumbing to the elements (day-drinking in the sun can end in tragedy) with plenty of BBQ and cupcakes on site to help balance out beer-filled bellies. Food did not, however, prevent people from getting on top of each others shoulders or dancing with the entertainers. But there's just no helping that when free-flowing beer is part of the equation.
