The daytime stars broke their usual A.M. habits and made their debuts at night for the 62nd Daytime Emmy's Nominee Reception held at the SLS hotel. We were graced with the presence of our favorite soap stars from "General Hospital" (receiving 18 nominations) and "All My Children".
To our dismay, soap star we care about, James Franco, who probably brought more attention to "General Hospital" than it has seen in years, was conspicuously missing from the ballot of nominees. We sure would have loved to catch even a glimpse of him in front of the step and repeat. Hopefully the academy steps its game up and realizes where the big bucks come from. Also expected to take home some statues, Rachel Ray, Regis and Kelly, and Ellen. Stay tuned for the awards July 31st.
