Already a star in his own right within the design world, Thom Filicia was catapulted into the public spotlight as the interior decor expert on TV's "Queer Eye For The Straight Guy." Known for his signature New-American style, Filicia has now written the book on how to create your dream living space with
American Beauty: Renovating and Decorating a Beloved Retreat, published last month by Random House.
On Friday, Calypso St. Barth's Santa Monica Home boutique feted Filicia at a festive signing for
American Beauty that drew Jeff Hughes from Natural Curiosities, Krista Sonnier from Peacock Alley, and artist Audrey Shanahan. Guests from L.A.'s design community, including Omer levy from Fresco, designers Lisa Robyn Deutsch and James Everett, and Kevin Lingholm of Knoll’s, sipped, snacked and holiday shopped as Filicia signed copies.
