Fashion line Brave Chick's mission is to empower, uplift and nurture the strength and creativity of women by gifting a portion of proceeds for every product sold to Not For Sale, a non-profit that fights to end modern-day slavery. More than just a clothing brand, Brave Chick produces top quality products intended to "encourage [women] to express their true essence and ultimately make a contribution to a charitable cause," explains co-founder Janet Williams.
At Saturday's exclusive Brave Chick Fashion & Beauty Brunch presented by Wiles Magazine and hosted at the Loft at Liz's on La Brea, founders of Le Fashion Truck Stacey Steffe and Jeanine Romo were honored with the first ever B.E.A.M. (Bravery Empowers and Motivates) Award. As L.A.'s first mobile store selling clothes and accessories by emerging designers, the founders behind Le Fashion Truck exemplify the creativity, strength, and empowerment to make dreams become reality that Brave Chick values and encourages.
Guests who came out to help honor this year's B.E.A.M. Award recipients enjoyed mimosas and cocktails, bites by Porto's Bakery and Cafe and Mix n' Munch, plus a pop-up fashion preview of Brave Chick's own products. To top it all off, guests were also treated to a handful of pampering services such as hand massages by Stage Hands, lavish manis by esNail, a lash and brow bar by Kym Nicole, and beauty demo by Carol's Daughter.
