It's a well known fact that race tracks attract all sorts of people that are, to put it politely, around the edges of society. Before HBO's "Luck" got cancelled just because some wieners from PETA got all bent out of shape about a few accidents (imagine if they knew how many animals Dustin Hoffman normally kills with his bare hands, just for fun), its arguable best quality as a show was the vicarious freakshow that are the racetrack regulars. So naturally,
when Hollywood Park announced that big name bands were going to be playing Friday night shows after the ponies stopped running, my curiosity was piqued. Horses, freaks, and Devo? It merits investigation.
