In case you need further convincing about the dubious nature of many of these accessories, this is the iPole. Don't worry if you're confused by the name, I'm happy to explain! It's a pole, and you put your iPhone on it. It's most useful for taking panoramic self-portrait photos of yourself in those moments when a) you're completely, crushingly alone and b) you want the end of an iPole in your photograph. Then again, in six months maybe the iPole will be the
de rigeur accessory for the iPhone and you'll look stupid for not having one. We'll just have to wait and see.
